Meditation Studio and Muse Updates

Hello!

There have been some really exciting things happening at Meditation Studio and Muse, and we definitely want to give you an update! 

As you may know, we’ve joined the Muse family last year and have been working hard to bring our two products together. We’re just at the beginning and we’ll be doing this in phases. 

We believe that our amazing content and teachers will perfectly supplement and expand the Muse experience. We’re excited to release our guided meditations into the Muse app where you can enhance your meditation experience with real-time feedback and post-meditation reporting on your brain activity, heartbeat, breath rate, and body movements using the accompanying Muse headband.

So, what’s the big goal? In November, we will launch interactive personal voice coaching which will include instruction from some of our best teachers that will respond in real-time to your personal biofeedback provided by the Muse headband. We want you to see how guided meditation can increase the depth and meaning of your meditation practice, especially when it’s responsive to your individual needs each session.  

While we chip away at that really big goal, we wanted to let you know that Meditation Studio will continue as a stand alone app while we focus on a phased approach to integrating our content and teachers into the Muse app experience. 

We are in the early stages of this integration and just released 100+ of our top guided meditations into the Muse Meditation app. In addition to the initial release, we’ll continue to add content into the Muse app throughout the year. Releases in Meditation Studio will, of course, continue as well! 

Putting our content into the Muse app is just the first step (and a small one at that!). Next steps include:

  • Coming this June: If you wear your Muse headband while listening to guided meditations in the Muse app, you will receive post-session biofeedback reporting (we really do love those charts!)
  • Coming mid-Summer: Integrated subscriptions across Meditation Studio and Muse; a subscription in one, gets you access to both apps
  • Coming late Fall: Subscribers will have access to all guided meditations on Alexa 
  • And then by the end of the year (fingers crossed), interactive instruction in the Muse app based on biofeedback

In the meantime, we will continue to invest in new features and content within the Meditation Studio app. We’ve received some great feedback on Night Mode and Playlists, and plan to introduce a web application, on-boarding improvements, and an Apple Watch app later this year. We promise to stay busy!
